Free Art Worksheet for Back to School

free art worksheet for circles games

Free Art Worksheet - Circles Games

This circle drawing worksheet is a fun activity that you could use in a black to school lesson. After you have spent so much time explaining who you are and what art class will be like this year, there may not be a lot of time left for a full blown lesson. Worksheets like this can be a great filler sort of activity for that day. It gives them the opportunity to be creative, but not take too much time.

This is also a worksheet that you could add to your sub binder!

Teachers, subs and parents may use this as an art game; a challenge; an early finishers activity; or an art lesson. Students create as many designs as they can think of using the circles provided. They may create imaginary objects; doodle designs; or as a way to list the things they can think of that are circular in shape.

Art Sub Plan for National Dress Up Your Pet Day

National Dress Up Your Pet Day

Ooooooh, another holiday is coming up! January 14 is "Dress Your Pet Day."

Here's a blog post about it from National Today: Dress Up Your Pet Day

This would be an easy idea to turn into a lesson for substitute teachers. Use a few good photos of dressed up animals and show some books with illustrations of dressed up animals. The school library is full of them!!!!

Here's a little drawing I did of dressed up pets that you may use for your lesson, if you like, but the internet is full of photos of dressed up animals.

There are so many photos of dressed up animals on Flickr. If you search on Flickr, you can add to your search that you want photos using Creative Commons, which gives you permission to use the photo. You can break down that search to your more specific needs. Artists who post their photos will set them for the level of sharing they wish to give.

Crayons and paper would be all you need for this one. Encourage adding details and a background.

Fill a Claw Machine - Art Worksheets Printables

Fill a Claw Machine - Worksheet for Early Finishers

Here's an early finishers worksheet that kids would love to imagine filling.  It's great for after they finish their work or to include in a classroom station.  The claw machine, like the ones they see near the check-out lines at stores, is waiting for them to fill with what they wish was inside.

I hope you enjoy this worksheet and will follow me at TeachersPayTeachers.
